BYO 1-1 iPad Program

At ACPS, students have the opportunity to participate in the ‘BYO 1-1  iPad Program’. The program benefits student learning in a number of ways:

  • Students are given the opportunity to interact with and create high quality content, resources and tools.

  • The enabling of personalised learning tailored to students’ particular needs and interests.

  • Allowing the development of valuable skills and knowledge and preparing students to thrive in our globalised and inter-connected world.

  • Providing students the opportunity to practice safe, responsible and respectful use of digital tools and technologies.

Parents can buy their child/ren a personal iPad. If parents choose to not participate in the BYO 1-1 iPad Program, students will be able to access shared, school-owned iPads provided to each classroom.

Prior to students using a personal/school-owned iPad at ACPS, the Digital Technologies Policy and Acceptable Use Agreement will have to be read, signed and handed in to the respective classroom teacher at the start of each school year. Personal, student-owned iPads can only be used when it has fitted a protective cover/case as outlined in the Digital Technologies Policy and Acceptable Use Agreement. Students will be expected to bring their iPads to school every day, charged and ready to use.
